So far, this has been my FAVORITE lesson; students practiced teamwork, democratic decision-making, and quality control. In Walled Lake, fourth graders are required to learn about Pablo Picasso (the man!). When one considers Picasso's work, usually some form of abstract portrait comes to mind (whether it be a single woman sitting in a chair or four nude women striking poses); therefore, I thought an abstract portrait would be appropriate. But wait! Fourth graders still needed to fulfill their "collage" assignment! What was the result? Paper Quilling.
